Google has integrated an AI-powered image creation feature into its search tool, allowing users to easily generate images. Currently, this feature is only available to users over 18 years old, residing in the United States, and participating in Google’s Search Generative Experience (SGE) trial.
According to Google, this feature leverages the support of the Imagen model developed by their research team. Users can create images by entering their requests and adding keywords like “draw” or “sketch” in the search bar. The feature will then provide a series of images based on their requests. Google states that this feature will be particularly useful when users “want to find a particular image but can’t quite remember it.”
In addition to the AI-powered image creation feature, Google is also integrating some capabilities of Bard into its search tool. For example, users can request Google Search to write a short story or a speech for them. Immediately, Google Search will provide results and allow users to adjust the writing style and length of the text.
Google’s new feature also allows users to edit the content, copy, save it to Google Drive, or download the images. Additionally, Google will block harmful, misleading, or explicit content to prevent misuse by malicious individuals for harassment or threats.
